Goodnight Glasgow

To finish off my final blog post I am going to write about places to stay in Glasgow. It has become quite the norm these day to go for overnights with your partner to celebrate or with friends just for the sake of it. Within this blog I am going to recommend a couple of places around Glasgow that I personally love and some that I would like to stay at in the future. This will also be of use to you if you have never visited Glasgow and are looking for somewhere comfortable, affordable and convenient. I hope they come in handy for you!

Citizen M Glasgow

Location:

  • 60 Renfrew St, Glasgow G2 3BW

The Citizen M Glasgow is a boutique hotel situated at the top of Glasgow City Centre. The hotel is fun and quirky with neon lighting and a black and red interior theme within the lobby and halls of the hotel. The rooms are by far the most exciting part about this hotel as there is a 6ft by 6ft bed which is extremely comfy and perfect if you like your own space when sharing with someone else. The powerful shower is built into the room as you can see from the photos below. In addition to these modern features each room comes with its own iPad which controls the lighting, TV and temperature. Pretty cool wouldn't you say? The price of this hotel per night varies depending on when you choose to stay however it typically costs around £80-£90 a night. The hotel also provides breakfast and there is a bar downstairs which you can buy food and drink from till 3am. Hate checking out really early? Citizen M offers you a late check out of 4 o'clock when booking up with them online- perfect for a lazy person like me! The location of this hotel is great as everything in town is within walking distance such as bars, restaurants, shops and the cinema. They also allow for food to be delivered straight to the hotel, so if you are after a cosy night in with snacks then this is the place for you.

The colour of the room can also be changed using the iPad provided

The Village Hotel

Location:

  • 7 Festival Gate, Glasgow G51 1DB
The Village Hotel Glasgow is a fairly new hotel within the area. It is situated near main tourist attractions such as the Glasgow Science Centre, The SECC and The Hydro. I have stayed in this hotel once as well as staying in their Edinburgh branch. Each time I have visited I have received a warm welcome and have always had a pleasant stay. The hotel has many facilities including a swimming pool, gym and a spa. If you are after a relaxing night away then I would highly recommend this hotel as the spa therapist really know what they are doing and they offer great spa packages. There is a buzzing atmosphere within the hotel at all times which makes it really enjoyable to wine and dine within the hotel instead of going out. A night at this hotel would cost approximately £80 a night depending on the date you choose to visit. The rooms are modern, immaculate and the service is fantastic.

Having heard great reviews from family and friends there are a good few hotels which I have not visited yet but certainly plan to. I am going to list them below and leave a link to each of their websites for you to investigate further if you please.
